Brief History of And IT.
The Beginning
After being educated in Mechanical Design & Engineering and having worked within the IT Support sector for more than 10 years the decision was made in 2009 to setup And IT Consulting and offer professional Technology Support services to Businesses and Homes in Essex and surrounding areas.
Focusing primarily on quality and efficient service, this would be the foundation on which And IT Consulting was developed.
Two Years Later
The business grew naturally from 2009 to 2011 with many new customers gained through recommendation alone, this was enough to keep us busy without being stretched and compromising quality.
Primary Services
At this stage we mostly offered Computer Support services and focused on site visits and some telephone support travelling throughout Essex, Kent and Suffolk to look after business and home customers.
Less road, more remote
In 2013 we were already testing the water with remote access software, in fact it had been used long before but with limited effect. During 2014 we began using the market leading remote access software which changed things considerably, site visits in many cases became a thing of the past. It was now possible to access any computer in the world remotely and with great ease, this technology made us more efficient and potentially offered customers substantial savings over site visits.
Focus on Website Design
For many years we had assisted customers with websites, both existing and new, but in 2015 a significant push was made to adopt the WordPress platform for designing websites, this is universally recognised as one of the market leading platforms offering end users full control over content management.
Customers were very pleased with this new approach, allowing them to easily edit or even create new pages with no additional costs incurred.
10 Years In Business
We are now supporting more customers, more efficiently than ever, with remote access being continuously used to allow greater work output in less time.
In business for a total of 10 years as 2019 rolled past. Time fly’s when you are having fun, in reality, time fly’s when you are extremely busy and having fun along the way! Remote support continues to be a large part of our work, saving people money and time as always.
Remote & Website Design
Into 2022 we continue to focus mainly on remote support for existing and new clients. During the pandemic remote support has been invaluable, many companies rushing to setup new laptops for staff. At the beginning of 2020 we were incredibly busy, even outsourcing at peak times.
Website design has become more of a focus again, some companies are doing what they can to pick up new business during difficult economic times. It has been a tough 2-3 years for many people, both in business and otherwise. We continue to support and look forward to what 2023 will bring.
The World & the Web in 2023
A lot has happened in the last 3 years, Pandemic, countries at war and potential recession. Not too much reason to celebrate sadly. We have kept our heads down, done the best we can for clients both on remote support, also website design.
Fortunately the WordPress platform we use for designing websites has improved a lot, great news for us, even better news for clients. We can now design more flexible websites, make them faster and more mobile friendly then ever before. Lately we are finding more companies needing to push for internet presence, either updating existing sites or setting up new.
