Step 1 – Open the App Store
From the home screen on your iPhone or iPad open the App Store which is shown in the image below.

Make sure the ‘Updates’ option is selected along the bottom of the screen, it is left of the ‘Search’ option.

Step 2 – Update App or Update All
After opening the App Store and having selected the Updates option on the lower menu there will be two update choices. You can either update a single App or Update All, as shown in the image below. Select your preferred choice and continue.

Immediately after you select to Update the progress ring will begin to move in a clockwise direction, this will be the same for all Apps that are updating. See image below.

Step 3 – Return to iPhone home screen
Depending on how many Apps are being updated, when you return to the iPhone home screen it is possible some might still be updating/loading. If this is the case you will see a grey loading symbol in place of the normal App icon as shown in the image below.

Once the App has finished loading the normal App icon will display again with a small dot shown to the left of its name, this indicates an update has been completed. You are done!
